The mass spectrometers are located in Room 2142, Department of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1101 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53706
Samples are submitted at the north door of room 2142 by assigning them log numbers and putting the samples taped to their submission sheets into the refrigerator. When the analyses are completed, the data and remaining sample will be found on the table outside of the south door of room 2142.
Trained operators (users) should sign up on-line for time on specific spectrometers. Safety glasses, and gloves are required. All sample preparation for LCMS, GCMS, and MALDI should be done in the operator's home laboratory. One person per instrument.
